The story line is kind of cheezy, but it's nice and casual. A nice evening game to wind down with...or when you want a mental break from fast-paced life.. I don't have multiple Mahjong games in my library, so I can't compare this with anything. But I'm familiar with the Mahjong concept and this game accomplishes that. Has a weak (but neccessary?) story behind it to tempt you to finish the game - even though Mahjong is just Mahjong..... So kodus to the developers for putting a plot behind it rather than just a random Mahjong puzzle game. Can be frustrating at times when you don't get the 3 stars in each puzzle. :-) I recommend it if you like Mahjong.Works brilliantly on Windows 10.. This is a tablet ported Mahjong themed puzzle/tile matching game. The core gameplay is Mahjong tile matching, with a few "powerups" that let you match tiles you otherwise might not, and a simple "plot" involving, well, some woman hunting clues about some missing person. While the game plays well enough, there's a very specific problem that stops me from recommending it. Mahjong tile matching is possibly one of the most casual forms of gameplay known to gamers, and yet the developers here felt the best choice would be to remove the casual nature by including flashing lights, powerups and beat-the-clock frantic tile matching action. One step away from tile matching towards Unreal Tournament. The inclusion of the time-crunch meter and the powerups is intended, of course, for the mobile versions of the game to include microtransactions... yes, apparently the greed of soulless, morally vacant "developers" has gone low enough to add cash grabs to tile matching.It's sad to see the entire premise for a game being thrown out for the sake of "tabletification". Mobile gaming, much like console gaming, demonstrably makes gaming worse, and this is a fine example of that. Also, you can play Mahjong tile matching games for free online, so why pay for this?. There's a microtransaction type of system that was implemented but abandoned in the form of "crystals". As others have stated, the Mahjong itself isn't even well programmed, because often times, various puzzles were impossible to solve. Hence, the player can use their pendant to store a single Mahjong tile at a time during the game, so they can basically cheat...but the player has to cheat to solve some of the puzzles (which I think are randomly generated). Whether that was because they wanted the user to buy the "crystals" or because of poor programming, I don't know.. I recommend. It's a good game for mahjong lovers and it's easy to get 100% completion.. This game is both frustrating and fun. The story, the graphics, the UI, the tile set symbols, amount of content are all good. Excellent, in fact.The problem is that thried to take Mah Jong solitaire and make an action game out of it. You are supposed to solve the puzzles as fast as you can, using power ups (cheats basically). That could be overlooked and ignored, but so many of the lvels are so poorly designed, probably 30% of them, that you need to use the power ups to beat the stage.. And that sucks up the fun you had been having up to then. I'd recommend it, because there aren't a whole lot of games on steam like this.
